Veteran actor, Samuel L. Jackson is in Ghana for the shoot of a new documentary on slavery titled “‘Enslaved” and it’s expected to be his next major project.
The documentary expected to be a six-part series will be hosted by the actor and will use underwater archaeology to chart the horrors of slavery.
Choosing now to start the shoot is symbolic too as this year makes it exactly 400 years since the first enslaved Africans first arrived in Jamestown, Virginia.
The series will be handled by Simcha Jacobovici (The Naked Archaeologist) and it will re-imagine the sea voyage that confined millions of Africans to a life of slavery.
The 70-year old actor was seen in +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Ghana after coming in from Gabon where he believed his ancestors came from and was said to have given a speech at the Jazz bar and grill.
