“The Real Housewives” show is making its next stop in South Africa with “The Real Housewives of Johannesburg” after NBC Universal signed its 13th international deal for the reality show with leading broadcaster M-Net in South Africa.
“The Real Housewives of Johannesburg” is set to focus on six affluent Johannesburg-based women and their lavish lifestyles. From their luxurious homes, to their prestigious families and friends: the series will follow the highs and lows of the fiery characters.
“The Real Housewives of Johannesburg” is the latest addition to the award-winning franchise which originally launched in 2006 with “The Real Housewives of Orange County”.
The first ever African-based version will debut on 1Magic, DStv Channel 103 on Friday, August 3rd. Casts include Evodia Mogase; a warm, straight talker from soweto who started off as a teacher and later delved into catering and is a vegetation expert.
Evodia joins the show with her daughter, Mercy Mogase, alongside Spa owner and Entrepreneur, Brinette Seopela, A former Miss Botswana and lawyer turned businesswoman, Christall Kay and Busisiwe Ter Mor’s heel, also known as Lendy who is a mother of two and a keen golfer.
