The Association of Multicultural Students (AMS) on October 10, 2017 screened Ujuaku Nwakalor Akukwe’s documentary on the Nigerian civil war titled: Afia Attack: The Untold Story of Women in The Nigeria-Biafra War.

Hosted by Resharia Keller and Nneka Mogbo, there were discussions about the role of women in the civil war, why history is no longer being told in the classrooms and why the government is not interested in letting the history be told.

Akukue’s film that had won the Best Short Film Award at the 2017 Silicon Valley African Film Festival focused on the pains endured by women during and after the war and why nobody is talking about them.
